A senior official in the office of the CEO told The Navhind Times that state election office has forwarded the memorandum received from Congress to the Election Commission of India with a request to club the announcement of the results of Delhi assembly with Panaji assembly constituency.
“We have sent the memorandum to the ECI and waiting for its response,” the official said.
That this is for the first time that ECI has decided to hold elections at different dates and announce results also at different dates. The ECI had in the past been holding elections at different dates but the results were declared on same date in the past and there is deviation this time, he said.
