UK cuts more jobs for non-EU workers

LONDON:  Britain on Tuesday  cut more categories in the ‘shortage occupation list’ under which professionals from India and other non-EU countries could come here for work, leading to an expected drop of 40,000 non-EU workers entering the country every year.

No change in visa policy with regard to Modi: US

WASHINGTON:  The US on Tuesday said there is no change in its policy of denying visa to the Gujarat Chief Minister, Mr Narendra Modi.
“No, there are no new developments on that,” the assistant secretary of state for South and Central Asia, Mr Robert Blake told reporters here when asked if there is any review of denial of visa to  Mr Modi.
