Pakistan’s top court convicts PM of contempt

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani was today convicted by the Supreme Court for contempt on the issue of pursuing graft cases against the President, Mr Asif Ali Zardari and was given a symbolic sentence that lasted briefly but questions remained whether he will be consequentially disqualified.

Only report good news on Puerto Rico radio

SAN JUAN: A radio programme in Puerto Rico will report only good news starting May 1.  The host of ‘Noticias OK’, Yalitza Navedo Roman, said Wednesday in a communique that the initiative arose after a survey was conducted among 100 residents of low-income communities, during which the participants asked the media to report positive news that was happening in their neighbourhoods.
