Mini bus mishap at Hivrem : 32 passengers injured

In a fatal incident on Monday, a mini bus plying from Hivrem – Khurd to Panjim via Valpoi met with an accident at Deuswada Hivrem when the driver  rammed against a tree and lost control of the vehicle.  Out of the 32 passengers that were injured in the accident, 3 were suffered grievous injuries.

Remaining 8 structures at Baina demolished, more 300 shanties to be razed soon

Following the High Court’s decision, the South Goa district administration on Monday razed down the remaining 8 structures of the 74 that were earmarked for demolition and removed all the debris. According to the South Goa collector, another 300 shanties in Vasco  would also be demolished soon.
