Ban on tiger tourism to continue

NEW DELHI: Extending the ban on tourism in core tiger reserve areas till September 27, the Supreme Court today indicated it was not averse to permit regulated tourist activities, subject to the Centre evolving suitable revised guidelines to protect the dwindling tiger population.

Ex-BJP minister among 32 convicted in Naroda riots

AHMEDABAD: Former minister in the Narendra Modi government, Maya Kodnani and Bajrang Dal leader Babu Bajrangi were among 32 people convicted by a special court on Wednesday on charges of conspiracy and murder in the 2002 Naroda Patiya riots case in which 97 people from the minority community were killed.
