GSPCB acts tough against Mapusa Municipality

MAPUSA: Taking serious note of waste being dumped carelessly all over including Assagao plateau, KTC bus stand and near the Bodgeshwar temple, the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has directed the chief officer of the Mapusa Municipality to be present at the board office at 11 a.m. on February 22 for a personal hearing failing which legal action will be initiated against him.

South Goa advocates to resume work today

MARGAO: The South Goa Advocates Association has decided to resume the work and attend courts from Tuesday, February 15. The vice-president of the association, Mr Avdhut Arseker, when contacted, informed that advocates have decided to resume work in all courts so that interest of the clients is protected. However, Mr Arseker said that advocates would continue with their protest.
