NEIMA objects to implementation of Sec 16 with retrospective effect

PANAJI: Pointing out that no school in the country has a history of mass promotion of failed students after results have been declared, the Nationalist Educational Institutions Management Association on Wednesday said that it objects to the implementation of the Section 16 – no detention of students till class VIII – of the Right to Education Act, 2009, with retrospective effect.
