Convention on consumer rights at Chauri on April 10

CANACONA: As many as 300 delegates from 28 states are slated to attend the mega national convention ‘Goa Pradesh Grahak Suraksha Adhiveshan’, at Chauri, on April 10. The convention has been organised by Consumer Protection Council (CPC), an NGO spearheading protection of consumers nationwide and identifying loopholes affecting consumer protection.

Khariwada fishermen threaten stir over demolition of houses

VASCO: The traditional fisherfolk community from Khariwada, whose houses are facing demolition, have appealed to the Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat to convene a meeting to protect their homes from demolition. The fishermen also threatened to intensify their agitation if their demand was not met in the next two days.
