Arpora mishap victim succumbs to injuries

MAPUSA: Karishma Chawan, aged 7, from Arpora, who received serious head injuries after being hit by a mini truck at Arpora on Tuesday, succumbed to the injuries late night at the GMC. The truck driver who was arrested on Tuesday itself, has been charged for rash and negligent driving.

Four handcarts seized in Mapusa

MAPUSA: In a major crackdown on handcarts, the Mapusa traffic police seized four handcarts that were allegedly causing obstruction to the traffic in Mapusa. According to Mapusa traffic PI, Mr Uday Parab, the four handcarts belonging to non-Goans were being used to sell bananas at a busy location in Mapusa and thus obstructing the smooth flow of traffic.
