Large-scale pilferage of medicines from GMC

PANAJI: It has now been confirmed that there is large-scale pilferage of the medicines from out-patient department pharmacy by "patients" in "connivance" with some of the Goa Medical College consultants and other doctors. The pilferage issue was deliberated at the GMC council meeting on Wednesday and steps explored to prevent misuse of the government scheme to provide free medicines.
