Govt to revive IT Habitat project

PANAJI:  Stating that the government would make a sincere effort to revive the ‘presently defunct’ Rajiv Gandhi IT Habitat project at Dona Paula, the Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat on Monday told the House that if the holders of the plots in the IT Habitat feel the need for security, they would be provided the same through the Info Tech Corporation of Goa.

Ban on new power connections to be lifted

PANAJI: The Power Minister, Mr Aleixo Sequeira on Monday informed the state legislative assembly that ban on release of new power connections in Goa would be lifted as the state has started receiving additional power supply to the tune of 37 mW and that additional allocations from Sipat, RGPPL to the tune of 40 mW would materialise soon. He also said that 47 mW allocations were expected soon from NTPC and NHPC.
