Centre seeks details on mining leases

Govt for zero buffer zone around wildlife sanctuaries

PANAJI: Given the small size of the state, the government authorities have proposed zero buffer zone around some wildlife sanctuaries or a buffer zone that could go upto a kilometre in some other cases and have informed the central authorities that 10 km buffer zone was too big a corridor for a state like Goa and could not be implemented.
