Carmona celebrates Ekvotacho Dis

Villagers of Carmona celebrated Ekvotacho Dis along with the Independence Day celebrations.

Residents from the village wards came together in a colourful parade to participate in a variety of cultural programmes and the sharing of food and drink at the grounds near the Our Lady of Succour Church, Carmona.

The participants were divided into seven groups based on the colours of the rainbow. Stalls were also set up with traditional Goan sweets on display. Incepted in 2012, Ekvottacho Dis is celebrated annually and has a strict no plastic policy.
