Cana Benaulim, Navelim play out high scoring draw

Fatorda: Cana Benaulim clawed back to hold Navelim Villagers Union to a 4-4 draw in the Goa Football Association U-14 League at Artificial Turf ground, Fatorda, on Thursday.

Cana Benaulim were first to take the lead in the 2nd minute through Bainapallirao. However, Navelim soon took control of the game and scored two quick goals as Rowan Fernandes scored a brace.

Brooklyn Gomes scored the third for Navelim to give them a 3-1 half time lead.

Crossiong over, B Rao pulled a goal back for Benaulim but Rylan restored their two goal lead making it 4-2. Soon Cana benaulim came back strongly and scored two more goals through Jonas Pinto and B Rao make it all square. The team were held to a thrilling 4-4 draw.

At Curtorim ground: Salcete Football Club scored a thumping 8-1 win over Futebol Club YFA. Joshua Fernandes netted a fine treble for the winners. Sam Moura and Adson Gomes scored a brace each while Sanvesh Palkar also got on the score sheet for Salcete. Moksh Pathania pulled a goal back for the losing side.

At Bicholim ground: St Christopher Sports Club scored a fluent 5-0 win over Cunchelim SC.
