Brain-storming session on Good Governance

PANAJI: The National Institute of HRD & Advancement (NIHA), Delhi, is conducting a unique training programme for a select group of Officials/Executives from different govt departments and Public Sector Undertakings at Candolim.

NIHA’s latest training event, being held from October 11 to 14 offered a unique opportunity to the team drawn from Oil India Ltd (Assam), GAIL India Ltd, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, Delhi Development Authority & Engineers India Ltd, to hear and learn not only from the NIHA directors but also from industry leaders and government administrators.

The 4-day workshop, which was inaugurated by S A Deshprabhu, former Chief Labour Commissioner Goa, is part of the NIHA’s initiative to engage with government and public sector undertakings to train their management and key executive personnel.

“In a world of constant change, ‘learning and effectiveness’ are crucial to organizational success”, said Sanjay Sharma, Director, NIHA. “Despite  learning’s high profile and proven need, our research shows that few departments indulge their employees in external training programmes where they can imbibe lessons from multi-talented professionals.”

NIHA’s programme that was specially designed for the middle level executives including union executives was designed to give the attendees an opportunity to learn directly from experts who have the combined experience of government and PSU in different domains.

NIHA is hosting the training event on change management, positive work culture, self development, effective communication, visionary leadership and stress management, drawing on NIHA director Sanjay Sharma’s experience with large scale , indepth training programmes.

Participants in the program were also able to sample the latest HR and learning developments, including the much ignored gender bias management.
