Betalbatim SC crowned champs

Fatorda: Betalbatim Sporting Club emerged champions of the Goa Football Association U-16 Second Division League after they hammered Silver Sands Sports Club 8-2 at Artificial Turf ground, Fatorda, on Sunday.

Selwyn Soares, who celebrated his birthday on Sunday, was the star for Betalbatim SC as he scored quadruple. Kevin Carvalho bagged a brace while Reagen Soares and Kluivet Pereira scored a goal each for the winning side.

Silver Sands managed to score through Desmond Miranda’s double.

At Duler Stadium: Salcete Football Club defeated Dunes Sports Club 2-1. Salcete scored through Sanket Khan and Omkar Gaonkar while Joshua Fernandes pulled a goal back for losing side.
