Speaking to this daily, Babush said that he was not happy with the pace of renovation work which was going on at the fish cutting market and expressed hope that the work would be completed within 6o days as promised.
Babush thereafter visited the fish market and personally inspected the water pipeline work carried out by the staff. He instructed the technical staff to first construct a drainage system and later undertake floor tiling work at the fish cutting market.
He also instructed the technical staff not to use slippery tiles as many visitors in the past had a very bad experience and slipped during the rainy season.
Monserrate also visited the fruit and vegetable market and saw for himself the replacement of industrial fans and leakages from the roof top. He promised to attend to the woes of the vendors at the earliest.
