Assonora blow away Sinquerim FC

Mapusa: Assonora United Football Club shot six past Sinquerim Football Club in the Goa Football Association Second Division League Bardez Zone at Duler Stadium, on Tuesday.

The opening minutes of the game saw both teams begin in earnest fashion with more of a mid-field battle. It took almost half and hour to break the deadlock as Suresh Naik put Assonora ahead with a good finish in the 36th minute.

They led by a goal in the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, Assonora United scored two quick goals in a span of three minutes when Dikshay Sarap sent the ball to the back of the net in the 58th and 61st minute.

Sinquerim SC were all over the place and found themselves at the receiving end. Sidesh Pednekar made it 4-0 in the 79th minute.

Stepelton Fernandes and Sairaj Halarnkar were the other two scorers for the winning side as the final score read 6-0 in favour of Assonora United FC.
