Anjuna case: autopsy to be conducted next week

MAPUSA: Autopsy on the bodies in the Anjuna incident wherein a French woman, who committed suicide after smothering her seven year old adopted daughter will be conducted next week as the family members of the deceased will be arriving in the state next week.

It may be recalled that on Friday the French  woman Sevrine Figere, who was staying in a rented house at Anjuna for the last two and half years along with her husband and adopted daughter Deepa Ramagosomi, allegedly committed suicide by slitting her throat with a blade after smothering her seven year old adopted daughter.

She has left a suicide note addressed to her parents and husband.

The police informed that the family of deceased will be travelling to Goa next week, and till then the bodies will be preserved, and autopsy will be conducted only after their arrival.

The exact cause of the deaths will be clear after the autopsy report, the police added.
