Ecommerce giant Amazon is ventured in the travel industry by partnering with bus ticket booking platform, redBus. With the partnership, Amazon customers will now be able to book bus tickets on its site and get access to redBus exclusive features such as bus service ratings and live tracking of buses.
To book bus tickets, customers have to go to Bus Tickets category under Amazon Pay tab and can use their existing contact details and payment information which saves the effort of re-entering this information every time. They can use their Amazon Pay balance or any other digital payment methods for an easy checkout experience. In case customers need to cancel a ticket, they only pay the cancellation penalty as per the cancellation policy defined by the operator. Amazon does not levy any additional charges.
Customers can use ratings of a bus service, by other customers, as a guide to choose the best bus option available on their route. They can track the live location of their bus and check the expected time of arrival to their boarding point. They get the bus number and contact information of the bus staff prior to departure.

The online company has globally sold more than 180 million bus tickets till date and has a customer base of around 20 million users.
