The Women’s Wing of the Goa Chamber of Commerce, organised a workshop on accelerating business performance. Vincent D’Silva, engineer from VJTI, an MBA from the S P Jain Institute of Management was the faculty for the workshop. D’Silva has over 25 years of work and consulting experience in industry in the areas of strategic planning, marketing and manufacturing.
The workshop focused on learning the use of tools, templates and processes that can improve business performance and productivity. The session was well received by the participants as it offered an interactive experience and filled with examples and anecdotes. D’Silva, said, “We need to increase our H to H connect, the human to human connect and be a catalyst and not a kettle to be able to create a second line of leadership in the organization.” He advised participants to change the way they say things. “Rather than saying it is impossible say I don’t know. Or instead of saying I will do my best say I will do what it takes,” he advised.
Dr. Jennifer Lewis e Kamat, chairperson, women’s wing committee, welcomed the gathering. She requested the participants to grab every learning opportunity they receive. Pallavi Salgaocar committee member introduced D’Silva and Poonam Shirsat coordinated the program and proposed the vote of thanks.
