The state played host to Aahar Ways Expo Goa 2019, a food, catering and hospitality event last week. Apart from display of products, the expo included competitions and seminars on various topics such as challenges in hospitality industry, role of evolving technologies in uplifting guest experience and efficiencies for housekeeping operations. This year’s edition of Aahar Ways Expo had more than 300 brands with participation from all over India including the state of Goa.
Sachin Bhutani, organizer and founder of Aahar Ways Expo said, “Goa is a leading market for the hospitality industry with thousands of hotels and restaurants catering to tourists. The hotel industry is developing due to the increase in tourism footfalls and is seeing immense growth. We had seen a great response last year and are confident of seeing it getting bigger in this edition as well.”
The expo was supported by several trade associations including Food and Hospitality Support Association of India, TTAG, Stewarding Association of India, Indian Federation of Culinary Associations, Culinary Forum of Goa, Telangana Chefs Association, Young Chefs Association of India, Gujarat Culinary Association, Chefs Association of Garhwal, Hands in Hospitality, Professional Housekeepers Association, I-Professional Housekeepers Association, Indian Housekeepers Club and Green the Earth.
