A ‘day’ for love

February 14 is celebrated as Valentine’s Day all over the world. It’s a day to express your love and care for your loved ones. NT BUZZ speaks to some youth to find out whether one day is enough for love or not

“Not really, I think for me all days are the best days to celebrate love. Of course there is no harm in celebrating it on this particular day because of the historical significance attached to it. But personally I would celebrate any other day with same zeal and passion as on this day. Love is something that keeps us all happy. And that’s what the world needs right now. So, why not every day should be like valentine day? Rather love day!”

–Tanvi Shridhar Kamat Bambolkar

“They say that every day is a valentine’s day but on Valentine’s Day we take special efforts to make the dearest one feel special. Valentine’s is that special effort to make someone feel special.”

–Pankaj Kurtarkar, RJ

“Now a day’s young people think February 14 is to show your love towards your lover, treat her with gifts and meal. So why it can’t be done on other usual days and months of the year. I don’t think any one has to celebrate love only on Valentine’s Day. There are 364 more days in a year to show your love to the people you really love and care for. Valentine’s Day is now become a commercial event. Many people are unaware about the relevance of Valentine’s Day at first place. Media and commercial institutes make money on this day by spreading Valentine’s Day madness among people. On Valentine’s Day why don’t people

celebrate with their family at home, instead spending time with their girlfriend or boyfriend.
