Student Council takes oath at Don Bosco HSS

Don Bosco Higher Secondary, Panaji held its investiture ceremony in the Bicentenary Hall on the premises. Newly elected student council members took an oath in the presence of the whole school, promising to be true to their post and duties assigned to them and to live up to the school motto ‘Wellness through Wisdom and Virtue’.

Newly elected leaders include the general secretaries, Shantanu Korgaonkar and Alandra Silveira; cultural secretary, Ishani Kamat; sports secretary, Nicholas Albuquerque; YRC secretary, Benjamin Monserrate and NSS secretary, Vaughan Fernandes. Leaders of the media club, theatre club, music club, consumer club, eco club, human rights club, red ribbon club and the little police were also inducted on the same day.

Principal, Fr Savio Gomes exhorted students to have respect for themselves and for one another, and to remember that ultimately they are responsible for the consequences of their every action. The programme was followed by a solo singing competition. In the English category the winner was Karen Fernandes while Joylita Silveira won in the vernacular category.
