PANAJI: The CII- Goa, recently held a day-long programme on indirect taxes. The programme focused on recent changes brought about by the Union Budget in service tax, excise and customs and the recent decisions in these legislation which have a significant bearing on trade and industry. There were over fifty participants representing 32 organisations from various sectors. The faculty, M S Mani, senior director, indirect tax, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India P Ltd discussed specific issues confronting trade and industry and explained the legislative provisions and recent decisions.
