Guardian Angel Sports Club secured a 2-0 victory over Betalbatim Sporting Club in the Fr Gervasio Pinto Inter-Village Football Tournament held at Figueiredo Ground, Pontemoll, Curchorem, on Tuesday.
The match saw Guardian Angel dominate possession and capitalize on key moments. Gerito Fernandes opened the scoring in the 35th minute, soon after the break. Fernandes, finding space outside the box, powered a shot past Betalbatim’s goalkeeper to give Guardian Angel the advantage. Aliton Furtado doubled the lead with a precise strike in the 45th minute, firmly placing Guardian Angel in control.
Betalbatim Sporting struggled to break through a solid Guardian Angel defense, despite their efforts to respond in the second half.
