Panaji: Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) on Monday, announced the appointment of Ranjit Phillipose as senior vice president- operations Goa. An hotelier with outstanding achievements in opening new hotels and rebranding initiatives across the world, Phillipose will be steering IHCL’s Goa operations where the group has a portfolio of over 30 hotels and a workforce of 2,500 personnel.
Phillipose is an award-winning hotelier with extensive global experience in hotel management, strategic leadership and brand development. He embarked on his professional journey in 1993 with IHCL at Taj Coromandel, Chennai. Over the years, he showcased versatile skills and remarkable leadership acumen by spearheading pre-opening task forces in Mumbai, Seychelles and Mauritius. Building on his international portfolio, he held key positions in London, as well as the United States, including director of rooms at The Pierre, New York and hotel manager at Taj Boston.
Phillipose undertook his first general management role as general manager, Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad and thereafter went on to lead Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, Maldives. His subsequent role was as area director, Goa and general manager- Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, Benaulim.
