The national general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), C T Ravi, on Thursday, categorically stated that there are no differences between the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and the Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and added that all are working together.
“Everybody is one, and there are no differences,” he added.
Holding the media responsible for creating the issue, Ravi said that the BJP is not there just for contesting the elections, but for building the party organisation.
“We also work under the motto of Seva hi Sangathan, and my party is for the people,” he quipped, adding that there exists other parties who work only for elections.
Earlier, Ravi attended meeting with the state MLAs and the national BJP general secretary (organisation), B L Santhosh.
Downplaying the ongoing Corona pandemic in Goa and stating that Maharashtra has more COVID-19- related deaths and infections than Goa, Ravi said that however, Goa, in comparison has handled the pandemic crisis better than its neighbouring state ruled by three parties namely, Shiv Sena, Congress and Nationalist Congress Party.
Incidentally, last month, the test positivity rate in Goa had shot up to 51 per cent, the highest among the Indian states.
Ravi, speaking to the press persons further said that a new hospital has also been opened in the state and facilities are provided to people. “The pandemic is slowly coming under control,” he added.
He, however, avoided a question as to whether the pandemic would impact the political fortunes of political parties.
“Pandemic is there in Europe, the US, and across the world, and not just in India; it is there in every region,” Ravi observed, mentioning that in one year, two vaccines have been manufactured in India.
“Whatever the administration and the leadership can do has been done,” he concluded.
