FSAI Student’s Chapter of Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE), Margao in association with FSAI Goa and Bengaluru Chapters organised a webinar on ‘Net Positive Energy Buildings’. The programme began with the FSAI anthem and welcome address by principal of DBCE, Neena Panandikar. The resource person for the webinar was president, FSAI Bengaluru Chapter and director, Services Consultants, Rupesh Iyengar.
He gave brief statistics about the energy consumption in our country and introduced the concept and explained the importance of zero energy and net positive energy buildings. Iyengar also highlighted MEP, HVAC, electrical, PHE and architectural considerations in the design of zero energy/net positive energy buildings. He concluded the session with some case studies that he has worked on in India and other countries.
President, FSAI Goa Chapter, Jennifer Lewis appreciated the efforts of the DBCE Chapter and hoped that more of such events would be organised in the future. The webinar was attended by 98 participants which included industry professionals, academicians and engineering students.
