Cottonfab-2021 opens in Margao

Ex-MLA of Fatorda Damu Naik and others at the ‘Cottonfab-2021’ expo in Margao.

PANAJI: Cottonfab – 2021 offering an array of traditional handloom cotton textiles for summer season was inaugurated by Ravindra Bhavan chairman and ex-MLA of Fatorda Damu Naik at Margao. The exhibition is open till March 15 from 10.30 am to 9 pm. An array of handloom cotton sarees, dress material, kurtas, kurties, stoles, dupattas and home furnishing and exquisite collection of designer wear in Indian traditional handloom is displayed. Also on display are handlooms from almost every state such as from Banarasi Brocade and Jamdani from Uttar Pradesh, Chanderi and mercerized cotton, Maheshwari, Baag from Madhya Pradesh and Kota Doria, block print with Dhaboo, Bagru, Sanganeri from Rajasthan, Kutchi Ajarak and colorful Banjara ethnic designs from Gujarat, cotton and silk embroider dress material and saris from Jammu and Kashmir, Kantha, Bailu, Baluchari and Tant saris from West Bengal etc are on sale. In the exhibition, more than 84 stalls and 16 states have displayed their products. NT
