Opposition leader Digambar Kamat on Wednesday expressed shock over the scheduling of the 12-day state budget session, whose sittings coincide with the Catholic Holy Week.
The government has notified the 12-day budget session, which will be held from March 24, 2021 to April 12, 2021.
“Shocking to note @BJP4Goa Govt. has scheduled 12 days Goa assembly session coinciding with Holy Week of Christians commencing on Sunday 28th March to Sunday 4th April with one of the working day on Maundy Thursday. Goa is known for communal harmony & respecting all religions,” Kamat tweeted.
