BNI Goa in association with their largest chapter in the state, BNI Mathagram, successfully hosted the three day Goa Biz Expo from February 18- 20. The Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, inaugurated the expo in the presence of Rajkumar Kamat, executive director, BNI Goa Region, Mac Srinivasan, global markets president BNI and Rakhi Jain, national president JCI.
Expressing pleasure at the growth of BNI, the Chief Minister said that, the network has benefitted MSME’s in the state. He asked BNI members to get into enterprises in agriculture, fisheries, hinterland tourism and green energy and start up sectors. Goa Biz Expo was held in a virtual mode. Day 1 comprised talks from eminent personalities such as Dr Jagat Shah and Bharat Daga. In all there were over 2200 visitors on Day 1 with over 1100 visitors present during the inaugural function.
“Between the four organizing regions of this expo namely Goa, Hubli-Dharwad, Kolhapur and Mangalore, BNI has a
membership of over 1500. Goa alone has a membership of over 630 members, 80 per cent of which are into services sector,” said Rajkumar Kamat, founder-member, BNI Goa.
He thanked the Chief Minister for the support and guidance and for recognizing BNI and the role it plays in entrepreneurial growth and employment generation and was also thankful for giving BNI an opportunity to offer suggestions for the forthcoming state budget.
The event closed with the valedictory and awards night in the
presence of Graham Weihmiller, chairman and CEO, BNI Global and Sulakshana Sawant, president, All Goa Women SHG Association.
