57 new COVID-19 cases registered in state

The state on Monday, registered, 57 fresh cases of COVID-19, and one new death linked to the dreaded virus.

Around 113 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 52,977 of which 767 are active cases while 51,448 patients have defeated the deadly virus. Till date, 762 patients have succumbed to the virus in Goa.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao – 94 cases, Vasco – 36 cases, Panaji – 87 cases and Mapusa – 32 cases.

While, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 9 cases, Bicholim – 7 cases, Pernem – 8 cases, Valpoi – 11 cases, Curchorem – 3 cases and Canacona – 10 cases.

And, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 22 cases, Betki – 10 cases, Candolim – 39 cases, Cansarvanem – 0 cases, Colvale – 11 cases, Corlim – 17 cases, Chimbel – 34 cases, Siolim – 23 cases, Porvorim – 71 cases, Mayem – 12 cases,  Balli – 13 cases, Cansaulim – 26 cases, Chinchinim – 40 cases, Cortalim – 23 cases, Curtorim – 13 cases, Loutolim – 18 cases, Marcaim – 12 cases, Quepem – 13 cases, Sanguem – 6 cases, Shiroda – 7 cases, Dharbandora – 5 cases, Ponda – 37 cases and Navelim – 17 cases.
