Goa records 85 new COVID-19 cases

The COVID-19 death count rose to 761 in the state on Saturday, as three more patients succumbed to the deadly virus.

Goa registered 85 new COVID-19 cases, taking the number of active COVID-19 cases to 873.

Around 63 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

With these new cases and recoveries, the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 52,867, of which 51,233 patients have defeated the disease.

The three patients who lost the battle against dreaded COVID-19 includes 59-year-old man from Sattari, 37-year-old woman from Cuncolim and a 70-year-old man from Ponda. According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao – 100 cases, Vasco – 37 cases, Panaji – 91 cases and Mapusa – 36 cases.

While, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 17 cases, Bicholim – 9 cases, Pernem – 8 cases, Valpoi – 10 cases, Curchorem – 13 cases and Canacona – 12 cases.

And, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 33 cases, Betki – 16 cases, Candolim – 46 cases, Cansarvanem – 2 cases, Colvale – 21 cases, Corlim – 16 cases, Chimbel – 33 cases, Siolim – 38 cases, Porvorim – 65 cases, Mayem – 14 cases,  Balli – 13 cases, Cansaulim – 22 cases, Chinchinim – 39 cases, Cortalim – 30 cases, Curtorim – 12 cases, Loutolim – 21 cases, Marcaim – 16 cases, Quepem – 15 cases, Sanguem – 20 cases, Shiroda – 9 cases, Dharbandora – 4 cases, Ponda – 31 cases and Navelim – 20 cases.
