Goa logs 70 more COVID cases

Panaji: The state on Friday recorded 70 fresh cases of COVID-19, and one new death linked to the dreaded virus.

Around 80 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 52,782 of which 854 are active cases while 51,170 patients have defeated the deadly virus. Till date, 758 patients have succumbed to the virus in Goa.

According to DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao – 98 cases, Vasco – 41 cases, Panaji – 90 cases and Mapusa – 40 cases.

While, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 18 cases, Bicholim – 7 cases, Pernem – 7 cases, Valpoi – 12 cases, Curchorem – 12 cases and Canacona – 10 cases.

And, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 34 cases, Betki – 16 cases, Candolim – 43 cases, Cansarvanem – 2 cases, Colvale – 21 cases, Corlim – 12 cases, Chimbel – 32 cases, Siolim – 35 cases, Porvorim – 64 cases, Mayem – 14 cases,  Balli – 10 cases, Cansaulim – 25 cases, Chinchinim – 35 cases, Cortalim – 27 cases, Curtorim – 11 cases, Loutolim – 20 cases, Marcaim – 16 cases, Quepem – 15 cases, Sanguem – 19 cases, Shiroda – 8 cases, Dharbandora – 3 cases, Ponda – 34 cases and Navelim – 21 cases.
