State records 87 new COVID-19 cases

Panaji: The state, on Wednesday, recorded, 87 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of active cases to 865. Around 84 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 52,657 of which 51,036 patients have defeated the deadly virus.

Till date, 756 patients have succumbed to the virus in the state. Fortunately, no new deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao – 100 cases, Vasco – 37 cases, Panaji – 86 cases and Mapusa – 39 cases.

While, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 21 cases, Bicholim – 3 cases, Pernem – 4 cases, Valpoi – 16 cases, Curchorem – 15 cases and Canacona – 9 cases.

And, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 37 cases, Betki – 18 cases, Candolim – 40 cases, Cansarvanem – 2 cases, Colvale – 22 cases, Corlim – 17 cases, Chimbel – 37 cases, Siolim – 39 cases, Porvorim – 63 cases, Mayem – 14 cases,  Balli – 6 cases, Cansaulim – 33 cases, Chinchinim – 28 cases, Cortalim – 32 cases, Curtorim – 17 cases, Loutolim – 19 cases, Marcaim – 9 cases, Quepem – 16 cases, Sanguem – 22 cases, Shiroda – 8 cases, Dharbandora – 3 cases, Ponda – 35 cases and Navelim – 16 cases.
