State records 53 new COVID cases

Panaji: With only 1,085 samples drawn for testing on Monday, the daily fresh cases of COVID-19 saw a decline with state recording 53 new cases of the dreaded virus.

Fortunately, no new death linked to COVID-19 was recorded in the last 24 hours. Till date, 756 patients have succumbed to the virus.

Around 66 COVID positive patients recovered from the disease on Monday.

With the new cases and recoveries, the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 52,458 of which 865 are active cases, while 50,837 patients have defeated the deadly virus.

According to DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao – 101 cases, Vasco – 37 cases, Panaji – 68 cases and Mapusa – 34 cases.

While active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 24 cases, Bicholim – 8 cases, Pernem – 10 cases, Valpoi – 15 cases, Curchorem – 20 cases and Canacona – 20 cases.

And, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 32 cases, Betki – 28 cases, Candolim – 34 cases, Cansarvanem – 2 cases, Colvale – 20 cases, Corlim – 22 cases, Chimbel – 28 cases, Siolim – 44 cases, Porvorim – 44 cases, Mayem – 12 cases,  Balli – 9 cases, Cansaulim – 40 cases, Chinchinim – 14 cases, Cortalim – 38 cases, Curtorim – 18 cases, Loutolim – 29 cases, Marcaim – 8 cases, Quepem – 15 cases, Sanguem – 22 cases, Shiroda – 6 cases, Dharbandora – 6 cases, Ponda – 39 cases and Navelim – 15 cases.
