83 new COVID-19 cases detected in state

The COVID-19 death count reached 756 in the state on Saturday as three more patients succumbed to the deadly virus.

Goa registered, 83 new COVID-19 cases, taking active COVID-19 cases to 877.

Around 69 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

With these new cases and recoveries, the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 52,345, of which 50,712 patients have defeated the disease.

The three patients who lost the battle against dreaded COVID-19 include 58-year-old man from Margao, 65-year-old man from Sankhali and a 73-year-old man from
Siolim.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao – 91 cases, Vasco – 36 cases, Panaji – 60 cases and Mapusa – 33 cases.

While, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 25 cases, Bicholim – 7 cases, Pernem – 11 cases, Valpoi – 14 cases, Curchorem – 20 cases and Canacona – 17 cases.

And, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 32 cases, Betki – 26 cases, Candolim – 31 cases, Cansarvanem – 2 cases, Colvale – 18 cases, Corlim – 20 cases, Chimbel – 30 cases, Siolim – 41 cases, Porvorim – 52 cases, Mayem – 11 cases,  Balli – 7 cases, Cansaulim – 43 cases, Chinchinim – 11 cases, Cortalim – 33 cases, Curtorim – 17 cases, Loutolim – 32 cases, Marcaim – 14 cases, Quepem – 15 cases, Sanguem – 23 cases, Shiroda – 7 cases, Dharbandora – 8 cases, Ponda – 56 cases and Navelim – 30 cases.
