66 new cases of COVID-19 in state

The state, on Sunday, registered 66 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking
the tally of active cases to 832.

However, there was only one death reported in the state on Sunday (a male person, aged 60, from Odxel).

At the same time, 100 patients recovered from the disease on Sunday.

As per the data shared by Directorate of Health Services here, the confirmed COVID cases currently stand at 51,856, of which 50,277 patients have defeated the disease.

As per the analysis, the current recovery rate in Goa is 96.95 per cent.

Till date, 747 patients have succumbed to the deadly disease in the state. One death was reported in the last 24 hours.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao – 87 cases, Vasco – 45 cases, Panaji – 47 cases and Mapusa – 24 cases.

While, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 28 cases, Bicholim – 12 cases,
Pernem – 10 cases, Valpoi – 14 cases, Curchorem – 10 cases and Canacona – 32 cases.

And, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 15 cases, Betki – 25 cases, Candolim – 28 cases, Cansarvanem – 1 case, Colvale – 6 cases, Corlim – 18 cases, Chimbel – 35 cases, Siolim – 27 cases, Porvorim – 49 cases, Mayem – 5 cases,  Balli – 4 cases, Cansaulim – 45 cases, Chinchinim – 16 cases, Cortalim – 30 cases, Curtorim – 29 cases, Loutolim – 29 cases, Marcaim – 20 cases, Quepem – 13 cases, Sanguem – 9 cases, Shiroda – 9 cases, Dharbandora – 8 cases, Ponda -61 cases and Navelim – 38 cases.

Only 3 tourists were detected positive for corona virus, who travelled either by road, came by
flight or came by train to the state.
