COVID recoveries cross 50,000

Panaji: COVID-19 recoveries in the state crossed the 50,000-mark on Friday.  Around 105 COVID patients recovered from the disease while 83 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 51,709 of which 877 are active cases while 50,088 patients have defeated the deadly virus. As per the analysis, the current recovery rate in Goa is 96.86 per cent.

Till date, 744 patients have succumbed to the virus in the state.

Fortunately, no new deaths linked to the virus have been reported for the third consecutive day.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao – 106 cases, Vasco – 51 cases, Panaji – 48 cases and Mapusa – 25 cases.

While active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 32 cases, Bicholim – 7 cases, Pernem – 15 cases, Valpoi – 10 cases, Curchorem – 14 cases and Canacona – 31 cases.

And, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 14 cases, Betki – 21 cases, Candolim – 33 cases, Cansarvanem – 0 cases, Colvale – 10 cases, Corlim – 21 cases, Chimbel – 30 cases, Siolim – 20 cases, Porvorim – 52 cases, Mayem – 2 cases,  Balli – 5 cases, Cansaulim – 42 cases, Chinchinim – 19 cases, Cortalim – 33 cases, Curtorim – 31 cases, Loutolim – 29 cases, Marcaim – 23 cases, Quepem – 13 cases, Sanguem – 10 cases, Shiroda – 17 cases, Dharbandora – 11 cases, Ponda – 56 cases and Navelim – 43 cases.
