119 more COVID cases detected, no death for second consecutive day

Panaji: Goa on Thursday registered 119 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of active cases to 899. Fortunately, no new death linked to the virus has been reported for the second consecutive day.

Around 90 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

With these new cases and recoveries, the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 51,626 of which 49,983 patients have defeated the deadly virus. Till date, 744 patients have succumbed to the virus in the state.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao – 99 cases, Vasco – 48 cases, Panaji – 60 cases and Mapusa – 29 cases.

While active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 29 cases, Bicholim – 7 cases, Pernem – 12 cases, Valpoi – 10 cases, Curchorem – 19 cases and Canacona – 31 cases.

And, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 13 cases, Betki – 24 cases, Candolim – 39 cases, Cansarvanem – 1 cases, Colvale – 9 cases, Corlim – 22 cases, Chimbel – 30 cases, Siolim – 19 cases, Porvorim – 56 cases, Mayem – 1 cases,  Balli – 5 cases, Cansaulim – 36 cases, Chinchinim – 19 cases, Cortalim – 44 cases, Curtorim – 27 cases, Loutolim – 27 cases, Marcaim – 20 cases, Quepem – 16 cases, Sanguem – 13 cases, Shiroda – 18 cases, Dharbandora – 12 cases, Ponda – 63 cases and Navelim – 38 cases.
