Thieves break into 4 Mapusa kiosks, steal Rs 90,000-worth goods

Mapusa: Breaking into four kiosks opposite the petrol pump along Mapusa-Parra road, unknown thieves decamped with various items including cash all worth Rs 90,000.

According to Mapusa police, the theft was committed on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. Police said that four kiosks including a bar and restaurant, two general stores and an aquarium shop was targeted by thieves who entered into the kiosk from the rear side by bending the door.

Police said that some cash, packets of cigarettes, chocolates, two aquarium sets and liquor bottles worth Rs 90,000 were stolen from the shops.

Following a complaint by Suraj Hadfadkar, Mapusa police conducted panchanama and registered a theft case against an unknown person. PSI Ashish Parab is investigating the case further.
