Panaji: The state, on Friday, registered 80 new COVID-19 cases, and no new deaths linked to the virus, taking the total number of active cases to 980. The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 50,534, of which 48,826 patients have defeated the deadly virus.
Till date, 728 patients have succumbed to the virus in the state. Around 101 patients recovered from the disease on Friday.
According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao – 95 cases, Vasco – 42 cases, Panaji – 74 cases and Mapusa – 31 cases.
While, the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 23 cases, Bicholim – 12 cases, Pernem – 21 cases, Valpoi – 5 cases, Curchorem – 28 cases and Canacona – 26 cases.
And, the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 12 cases, Betki – 16 cases, Candolim – 36 cases, Cansarvanem – 2 cases, Colvale – 15 cases, Corlim – 25 cases, Chimbel – 37 cases, Siolim – 29 cases, Porvorim – 58 cases, Mayem – 3 cases, Balli – 14 cases, Cansaulim – 33 cases, Chinchinim – 12 cases, Cortalim – 32 cases, Curtorim – 31 cases, Loutolim -36 cases, Marcaim – 16 cases, Quepem -63 cases, Sanguem – 21 cases, Shiroda -32 cases, Dharbandora – 4 cases, Ponda – 70 cases and Navelim – 25 cases.
