Margao: South Goa Superintendent of Police Pankaj Kumar Singh, on Thursday, said that keeping in view the Christmas celebration in South Goa, elaborate security arrangements have been made by the district police for smooth and incident-free
festivities.
Singh said that the existing district police personnel have been mobilised and stationed at different locations. Traffic police personnel will make necessary traffic arrangements and channelise the traffic, particularly, in the coastal belt.
“While extra police patrols will be on the streets to make sure that people are respecting the coronavirus measures on the Christmas eve,” said the SP.
“We have charted out a comprehensive security plan,” said Singh and informed that in all, security establishment and police station officials have been mobilised and day and night patrolling will be intensified.
In the coastal belt, there will 24-hour patrolling and in almost all police stations, patrols will act proactively by conducting checks.
