Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday held a meeting with Joint Secretary of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MoEIT), Saurabh Gaur, and discussed ways by which the state can attract good investors and companies.
Gaur via a PowerPoint presentation briefed the Chief Minister about the ‘Invest India’ programme and shared different policies and schemes that are currently implemented by the government of India.
Secretary Revenue Sanjay Kumar; Director of Department of Information Technology, Ankita Anand; Managing Director of Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd, Vivek HP; Nitin Kunkoliekar, Manoj Patil, and Dattaprasad Shetkar also attended the meeting.
Gaur informed that many companies are investing through the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, Scheme for Promotion of Manufacturing of Electronic Components and Semiconductors (SPECS) and Modified Electronics Manufacturing Clusters 2.0 scheme (EMC).
The Ministry would facilitate promotion of state of Goa as an important investment destination.
The Chief Minister said that the government has undertaken many reforms to make Goa attract investment.
