Two hoteliers held in sex racket at Saligao; 4 girls rescued




The crime branch of the Goa police arrested two hoteliers and rescued four girls during a raid conducted at a Saligao based Valley View resort for running interstate prostitution racket.

Those arrested have been identified as Ismail Hanabarkadabi resident of Kevnem, Caranzalem and Himachal Pradesh resident Nishant Kapoor.

According to the police, Ismail has taken a resort on lease and was running the prostitution racket while Nishant also known as Raaz runs a hotel in Punjab and was supplying girls to prospective customers from Chandigarh to the Valley View resort for the purpose of sexual gratification.

However police received reliable inputs that women were being sent to the resort for prostitution and based on this information they conducted a raid and nabbed the accused Ismail on November 21 and during the interrogation it was disclosed that the entire operation was run from Chandigarh by the main accused Nishant who was arrested with the help of Punjab police from his hotel in Mohali at Punjab on November 28.

During interrogation the accused Nishant disclosed that he is also operating an online escort service with the help of one person namely Mohammed Inamdar who is providing him technical assistance to maintain the website. Accordingly his online ads and website and phone numbers have also been taken off by the crime branch.

The entire operation was held under supervision of SP (crime) Shobhit Sasena and Dy SP (crime) Sunita Sawant by a joint team of PI Rahul Parab, PI Mangesh Valvaikar, PI Anant Gaonkar, PSI Nitin Halankar, HC Umesh Desai, PC Sandesh Kambli, LHCs Disha Mapari, and Sneha Javeri .

A case under Sections 34 (common intention) and 370 (3) (buying or disposing of any person as a slave by abduction) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 (punishment for keeping a brothel or allowing premises to be used as a brothel or allowing premises to be used as a brothel), 4 (punishment for living on the earnings of prostitution), 5 (procuring, inducing or taking a person for the sake of prostitution), 7 (Prostitution in or in the vicinity of public places) of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act was registered in the matter.
