As part of the exercise, a mock drill will be conducted by the NSG along with Goa police teams. The senior police officer said various aspects related to security measures as well as anti-terror were discussed during the meeting.
It is learnt that Goa police will also seek the assistance of NSG for the commando training to be provided in the state.
The Goa police had recently decided to set up a commando training facility at the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) camp at Nanoda-Valpoi. At this facility, commando training will be provided to the police personnel from Goa police as well as IRBn. Once trained, the commandos will be deployed in the districts.
