Vasco: Minister for Environment Nilesh Cabral Friday said the environmental public hearing on expansion of the Dabolim airport will be held virtually on December 4 by the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB).
Stating that the expansion of the airport is planned at the site of the old building, which has been razed to the ground, Cabral said the expansion will benefit passengers to a large extent.
“The environmental public hearing on the expansion of Dabolim airport will be held as per the environmental norms. Former chief minister late Manohar Parrikar had promised Goans to retain the Dabolim airport in south district despite Mopa coming up in the north. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is following the footsteps of Parrikar,” the minister said.
