116 new COVID-19 cases reported in state

Goa, on Saturday, registered 116 new cases of COVID-19, taking the tally of active cases to 1,261.

At the same time, 147 patients recovered from the disease on Saturday.

As per the DHS, of the total 46,748 confirmed COVID cases that Goa has recorded so far, 44,812 patients have defeated the disease and as per the analysis, the current recovery rate in the state is at 95.86 per cent.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdiction of urban health centres are as follows: Margao – 90 cases, Vasco – 75 cases, Panaji – 84 cases and Mapusa – 52 cases.

While, active positive cases in the jurisdiction of community health centres stand as follows: Sankhali – 37 cases, Bicholim – 32 cases, Pernem – 32 cases, Valpoi – 19 cases, Curchorem – 19 cases and Canacona – 24 cases.

And, the  active positive cases in the jurisdiction of primary health centres are as follows:  Aldona – 17 cases, Betki – 26 cases, Candolim – 71 cases, Cansarvanem – 6 cases, Colvale – 36 cases, Corlim – 38 cases, Chimbel – 45 cases, Siolim – 43 cases, Porvorim – 86 cases, Mayem – 9 cases,  Balli – 17 cases, Cansaulim – 35 cases, Chinchinim – 23 cases, Cortalim – 59 cases, Curtorim – 19 cases, Loutolim – 24 cases, Marcaim – 15 cases, Quepem – 26 cases, Sanguem – 17 cases, Shiroda – 28 cases, Dharbandora – 23 cases, Ponda – 99 cases and Navelim – 35 cases.
