Panaji: Goa on Wednesday registered 162 new cases of COVID-19 pandemic, taking the tally of active cases to 1,364.
At the same time, 178 patients recovered from the disease on Wednesday.
As per the DHS, of the total 46,344 confirmed COVID cases that Goa has recorded so far, 44,310 patients have defeated the disease and as per the analysis, the current recovery rate in Goa is 95.61 per cent.
According to DHS, current active positive cases under jurisdiction of urban health centres include Margao (103), Vasco (86), Panaji (93) and Mapusa (52).
In community health centres, Sankhali CHC has 38 cases, Bicholim (36), Pernem (33), Valpoi (19), Curchorem (20) and Canacona (16).
Primary health centres – Aldona (11), Betki (29), Candolim (70), Cansarvanem (9), Colvale (34), Corlim (40), Chimbel (66), Siolim (41), Porvorim (77), Mayem (13), Balli (19), Cansaulim (54), Chinchinim (31), Cortalim (78), Curtorim (25), Loutolim (23), Marcaim (14), Quepem (26), Sanguem (19), Shiroda (26), Dharbandora (20), Ponda (107) and Navelim (36).
Aged trio succumbs
Panaji: The state on Wednesday witnessed three new deaths associated with the deadly coronavirus, taking the COVID death toll to 670.
According to the mortality bulletin issued by the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, all three patients had co-morbidities and they passed away while undergoing treatment at GMC.
The patients, who lost the battle against the dreaded virus, include a 66-year-old man from Fatorda, a 67-year-old woman from Mardol and 72-year-old man from Aldona.
